Lately discussions on equality and, in particular, on women's rights and the relevance of this problem in Russia, have become more frequent in the media space. It is enough to recall the popular post of Kati Romanovskaya on Facebook that the situation with gender discrimination is greatly exaggerated, Meduza’s “cards” about sexism and discussion of this material in social networks, as well as many not so noticeable threads on this topic that are nevertheless constituting a critical mass .
The very fact that they started talking about the problem is certainly a good sign. Another thing is that while it remains debatable, there is neither a consensus on the most fundamental issues (such as sexism, discrimination or human rights), nor the habit of thinking correctly and attentively speaking to words. So, it’s not without side effects, as is customary on the Internet: firstly, opponents are often not in the mood to hear each other and seek a compromise, and secondly, a portal to hell opens in every second comment. According to the results of several such discussions, blogger Tatyana Nikonova chose the most speaking comments - both men and women - and published them first on Facebook and then in a separate blog in the form of demotivators with naive ponies. On the other hand, it is necessary to begin with something, even if it is laughter through tears.
