Autumn range: 6 new palettes in shades of red and orange

Text: Alina Smirnova

Red shadows do not go out of fashion for a couple of years. At first, Lime Crime suddenly took off Venus - a palette of burgundy shadows, which Ksenia Vorotova lovingly announced in her instagram as "newdes" (from the words "new" and "nudes"). Last fall, the trend was brought to the people of Lucia Pick - her collection Le Rouge showed the conservatives that red is quite wearable in "ordinary" life. About Modern Renaissance even to mention embarrassing - about her already written volumes. Since then, several dozen palettes have come out in the colors of sunset, fallen leaves and the cocktail "Sex on the Beach". We show the main and especially loved by us.

Urban Decay Naked Heat

4700 rub.

The latest addition to the Naked series is the perfect palette for a beginner in the world of red eye makeup. The left side is universal, it can be painted in the most strict office or school. The right one should arrange even the most sophisticated: there are unbanal shimmer and matte shades of the color of Indian spices. Naked Heat is as obedient as possible and does not hesitate to give color - it is better to shake off the brush (it is also excellent) in advance so as not to get a rich spot instead of a delicate haze.

Shades are not banal and quite suitable for life: here the brand managed to repeat the success of Naked 3, which at one time convinced ardent opponents of pink shadows that they do not attach any pain to the eyes. With persistence, too, everything is good - on the basis of "heat" lasts until makeup is removed. I really want to find fault with anything, but nothing. This is really a great rust colored palette.

Smashbox cover shot ablaze

2050 rub.

Ever since Smashbox launched a line of pocket-sized pallets, it was Ablaze that was constantly sold out: the popular range and affordable price (the series is often offered at a discount) instantly turned it into masthead. Now with red shadows in stores at times better, so that the bestseller can be bought without problems. In fact, these are two fours of shadows, red and crimson, without extreme extremes.

Unlike Naked Heat, with which makeup is easy to perform completely with matte shadows, Ablaze suggests a rather brilliant image: there are only three matte shades and they add up to a specific make-up. Shimmer shadows while dim and do not sparkle like a disco ball; keep up well, but with the base, of course, behave better. In general, this is a pleasant brown and gold palette with a twist in the form of crimson shadows - just right for those who are not yet ready to sign up for a long relationship with red.

MAC Red-Hot Times Nine

3270 rub.

If you are bored of all these "even in the office" and compromise solutions, here it is - the perfect bright palette for autumn. It is absolutely impossible to paint a boring daytime make-up by her, but the bright part-time self jumps for ever. The top row is more likely to be a support - here the shades are for leveling the eyelid and feathering: the deceptive beige actually turns out to be cold pink, and the red one burns with fire. Medium - the most difficult to work, but the most fruitful for compliments. The bottom one is easier to light than it seems, and created for evening make-up.

Most of the shadows in this palette are matte and bright, and therefore require time and patience. Do not repeat our mistakes and avoid sticky bases: evenly shading red neon on them is exactly three times more difficult. Resistance is decent, but if you plan to hang out in the morning, take the shadows with you.

NYX Perfect Filter Shadow Palette Rustic Antique

1430 rub.

NYX already had a successful entry into the territory of red makeup - Full Throttle Shadow Palette in a shade of Color Riot, - and this four seemed to have completely migrated to the new extended release. All this reminds all rather not grandmother's antiques, but a realistic autumn nature: the shades are a little dirty, like faded foliage. Everything is filled with a slide: there are matte and shiny, and even translucent (light, looking at you) shadows. With the base they are applied, kept and bleached decently, but slightly inferior in pigmentation to their analogues. Let's just say: if you want to help your paws in red and red shades, this, of course, is also an option. On the other hand, the difference in price with Smashbox is not so great, but the problems with the latter are still a little less.

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes

$45

The quality of the latest releases of Too Faced rides on a roller coaster, and this palette successfully hit the high ground - dull shadows generally make a good mark. It is worth remembering only the shade of Peanut Butter, the success of which prompted Jerrod Blandino to the idea of a separate series. Just Peachy relies on another bestseller - Sweet Peach Palette. Some colors are repeated, but the general mood is different: a large palette turned out to be just peach, and a small heel into a wine palette.

If you leave attempts to compare these hits, Just Peachy is a set of safe reddish brown with accent coral and wine shades. Shadows, if desired, blend into a transparent haze and layered to the brightness of the Van Gogh canvas. Like the rest of the participants of this material, they require a base - by the way, all red shadows need it, at least not to stain the skin of the eyelids. This set will appeal to those who never know what they want tomorrow: with Just Peachy, you can draw mortal boredom or makeup with assholes without attracting additional colors.

Dior 5 Couleurs 767 Inflame

2299 rub.

Everything that concerns the hand of Peter Philips, whether it be a regular nude or metallic shadow, immediately turns into gold. So, the recent reissue of the legendary five shadows instantly scattered around the RuNet with the epithets “unbanal Diorovsky beige” and “elegant simplicity”. The restart came out okay and folding. The new fives are better pigmented and flawlessly extinguished, and keep up well, but the colors to the commercially profitable classics.

In Inflame, the make-up artist put in a hell of a lot that the rest of the collection lacks - but if you cover up the central redhead, you get the usual basic shadows for each day. The brand tried to reanimate the fame of innovators in the framework of the Christmas collection - it included a palette in the colors of ripe cranberries, one of which was metallic. But the chances that that set will end before the salary is given are very, very high.
