"I declare national mourning": Reaction in social networks to the tragedy

FIRE IN THE TRADE AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTER "WINTER CHERRY" IN KEMEROVO claimed the lives of at least a few dozen people. Whatever the final number of the dead, injured and missing, it is already clear that this is a national tragedy.

Public commentators have responded differently to what happened: some were outraged by the belated reaction of government officials and federal media, others called to check shopping centers across the country for compliance with safety requirements, others called to take care of both close people and their own psychological state at the time of experiencing serious stress . We present excerpts from some of the comments.

I declare national mourning. For Kemerovo children. According to adults. By Tuleyev mourning. For all of us. For each of us.

It hurts me and I feel ashamed. It is very different from Beslan, from Nord-Ost, it is different from everything. Since there are no terrorists here, there is no one to blame except ourselves. There is already no abstract guilty. It's all very specific. And Kemerovo is a very strong city. Miners. Here we are all to blame. Each. We all support this system of lies and corruption. For example, I park incorrectly and cry bribes to traffic cops, and I don’t know what to do if they stop taking them. Trifle? Not. Part of the system.

I cannot observe how it moves, tramples down, sweeps under the rug of someone’s interests, the main value, the absolute of humanity, is a unit of life. As in Krymsk, I believe that help should begin with a list of missing, dead and injured. This, complete, not mukhlezhnogo list. Something is wrong with us, if the death of more than 60 people (the figure is certainly underestimated), many of whom are children, does not signal a national tragedy!

Immediately after the shameful three-minute story about hell in Kemerovo, Dmitry Kiselyov, who won the final program on the country's main TV channel only twenty-five minutes, talks about the results of the all-Russian election of a name for a rocket, which, in the plan of Vladimir Putin, should aim to hit Florida in the near future. And do not hesitate to say anything, that he himself suggested calling her "Ashes."

And there is no need to mention about the closed doors of cinema halls, about the absence of fire safety in this shopping center, which is built like a plastic coffin that flashes in a second. However, like every other similar shopping center in the country. No, people should admire rockets. And it's not a pity for the children, but only what these fucking missiles were called, not the way he, Dmitry Kiselyov, wanted.

As the reaction of the authorities looks in the state of a healthy person:

1. It is not the Minister of Emergency Situations who flies to Kemerovo, but Putin. The president speaks to people, visits hospitals, controls the work of firefighters and rescue workers.

2. The governor and the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region are immediately dismissed. With respect to them, as well as all involved in the issuance of a permit to operate, the owners and managers of the shopping center begins an investigation. After completion of all rescue activities, the Minister of Emergency Situations leaves the board.

3. All federal channels change the broadcasting network, announcing the real number of victims (and not like now). On different channels start marathons to raise funds for the victims, which will be added to the huge compensation from the state.

4. The headquarters of assistance to victims is organized. The best crisis psychologists fly to Kemerovo from across the country at the expense of the state. In an accelerated mode, identification of victims by DNA is carried out, for which leading private genetic laboratories are involved at the expense of the state.

5. Halls for parting with the dead are distinguished. All the funeral events at the highest level at the expense of the state.

I do not expect sincere emotions from Putin - to be honest, I’m not at all interested in what he or Sands, or, God forgive me, Tuleyev, they feel (or do not feel) there really. I think something else is important: there is such a thing - social conventions. If we meet a person whose grief has happened, we consider it our duty to make a lean mine and say the right words if possible. This is a specific behavioral convention, an important basis for human interaction. If we violate this convention, it means that we are either idiots or sociopaths, or want to offend the counterparty.

Everyone is amazed how it was possible to leave so many children without adults, why the teacher put the class in a movie and go shopping, why the parents left the children, etc. But this is directly provided by the format of the shopping center. There, the whole point is to create a stream of family visits, then divide children and parents (animation rooms, cinemas, skating rinks, etc.) and send parents to walk around the shopping area for a couple of hours so that they cannot buy something.

Three different protocols are encountered there. Fire requires a maximum evacuation rate and maximum number of exits. But the antiterrorist security protocol requires difficulty in entering and verifying every incoming one. And the anti-theft security protocol requires difficulty in exiting, slowing down at the exit and the possibility of verification. From here, the inputs and outputs that are superfluous from the point of view of the safety of people and goods simply cannot help but close. They are closed everywhere.

We should take care of our security in Russia only by ourselves. While in the morgues of Kemerovo there are dozens of burnt children's bodies, and in hospitals people of different ages will suffer from burns for a long time, thousands of shopping centers across the country remain completely unsafe to find.

The instruction is simple:

1) find a couple of minutes and go to the shopping center near your home / work; 2) look - are emergency exits open? Do they meet fire safety criteria? 3) make a post about the shopping center with the hashtag # not only Cokemerovo in social networks, mark the pages of the shopping center; 4) with collective actions, we will quickly be able to make a list of unsafe shopping centers.

First of all, the list of unsafe places is one of the important tools for self-defense. In the second, with material for publication in the media and further articulation of mass requirements for the leadership of unsafe shopping centers.

How can you help yourself?

- If you feel bad, stop receiving news. Do not read and especially do not watch videos and reports. The incident has not been corrected, and you will not help the sorrowful if you earn PTSD yourself. There will be one more suffering person in the world.

- If there is a keen desire to help - help. If there is a desire to somehow take a civil initiative - show. But if you have doubts about the cleanliness of the organization that collects donations or organizes other activities, and / or if you and your family need resources (from money to free time), postpone the decision for several days and consult with those you trust.

- Do some ritual. Our culture has lost the tradition of mourning. Now it is more in honor to pretend that we are “fastening” and nothing happened. This is bad: it leads to getting stuck in the trauma and separates people. Perhaps the little light that is in the mourning is a feeling of rallying. But if the expression of grief is tabooed, then there is no rallying.

The theory of small affairs, about which so many urbanists talked, becomes relevant again, but now small things are not sweeping up on your staircase and watering the ficus, these were entertainment for peacetime. It is a little insulting that full responsibility for itself came to us not in exchange for complete freedom, but vice versa, but also, as we now understand, it happens. And this, of course, will end sooner or later, but in order to wait for it, in principle, to wait, you need to remember that in Russia you and your loved ones go through life without insurance.

Take care of yourself, do not trust anyone, do not hesitate to ask the seemingly obvious things twenty times: where the fire exit is, whether it works, what this dish is made of, why you think this medicine will help me, and so on.

Teach this kids. Tell them that adults are different, and yes, there are too many idiots among adults, and no, you need to think with your head every time, and no, you shouldn’t be silent when adults talk, but it’s better to ask again twenty times and not be shy. Help friends and family when it is difficult. Try not to give bribes (even if you really want, because it's faster). Support good people, not very good people - take pity from afar.

Do not pay attention to the idiots and scum - God will judge them, now everyone is for himself, then we shall understand (or not). Not everyone can and actively wants to deal with the system; this requires courage and detachment, and you don’t have to do it. You are obliged to take care of yourself and your loved ones, this is already a very big and difficult task.
