You can relax too: 8 perfumes, reminiscent of vacation and summer

It seems we did not notice how the winter ended: Now is the time to use sunscreen daily and plan a trip. Perfume critic Ksenia Golovanova gathered for us scents reminiscent of the beach shore, the hot sun and the upcoming rest somewhere far away from here.
The bitter and iodine Salis serves as an advertisement for the Mediterranean: here there is a thin mica of sea salt, and interior vanilla heat, and an island maquis - thickets of myrtle, immortelle and pistachios tangled into fragrant koltun on the coast. Probably, of all the "salted" aromatic wine glasses that do not even think of going out of fashion, this one is the cheapest, but practically nothing, except perhaps endurance, is not inferior to expensive Salina, Laboratorio Olfattivo.

For those who really love modern perfumery, it is easy to discount such a brand as Creed: for prices, for a bloated collection, for the pedigree of an enterprise, which allegedly lasts from 1760, but does not pass the test. Finally, in a strange for our century servility to the hereditary power: every second fragrance of Creed, if not Royal, then Imperial. But the truth is that during its existence (whatever the time actually), the English brand has made a lot of classics - from Aventus, which the fighters of the Moscow City dream of replacing water in coolers, to the almost genius Green Irish Tweed. Virgin Island Water is also a classic - a "tropical" perfume: it smells of coconuts, rum, lime and the most expensive pinacolada in your life.
You can read the list of notes in Aerin as a poem: frangipani, ylang-ylang, hibiscus, palm leaf, coconut milk - everything here that you want to take in April instead of vitamins, externally and inwards. Estée Lauder perfume lovers will recognize the central white-flowered Tuberose Gardenia chord from the Private Collection line, but in Hibiscus Palm it is beautifully tinted with coconut - not the usual “cosmetic” flavor, resembling a sunblock, but rather roasted coconut flakes, which give the flavor an interesting edibility.
Strictly speaking, all that the Une Nuit Nomade brand has is about rest; You take any fragrance from the collection and get a sketch on the theme of the Balinese spa or moonlit beaches. The latest works of the brand, Memory Motel and Rose America, are already registered in Montauk, a small resort town in the east of Long Island, behind the Hamptons, known for three things: the secret Montok project, rolls with lobster and picture views of the Atlantic Ocean, against the background of which crazy novel in the series "Lovers". Rose America - sea rose in the spirit of Iroaz, Lostmarch and Rose Atlantic, D.S. & Durga, gray grass in the dunes, disheveled rosehip shrub on the shore. Perfectly blows the head, clogged with household dust.
Cozumel is a Mexican island opposite the resort of Playa del Carmen, one of the best diving sites in the world: the surrounding national park guards the second largest coral reef after the Great Barrier. However, this aroma is smoky grassy to the face, besides from it, as from downshiftersky money, very quickly nothing remains - only beautiful and quiet sandalwood.
If at the island of Netinebud, where Peter Pan worked with the missing boys tribe, there was an official fragrance, they would smell like ylang-ylang - floral, fruity, grassy and animal at the same time, in itself is a ready-made perfume composition. In the "tropical" flavors, ylang often works as the sun, telling them, like a bronzer to the skin, the notorious sunkissed look - an elegant golden glow that we associate with a good sea vacation. But in Ylang in Gold it comes to the fore: besides ylang, cream vanilla (the perfect combination - even on Reunion, their plantations are sitting side by side) and the branded Micallef musk here, as if there is nothing more. And no need: as Wendy used to say, only one who is cheerful and unsophisticated can fly.
Three lilies on the unofficial flag of the Caribbean island of St. Barthélemy, or St. Barts, - a reminder that this plush piece of land north of Venezuela still belongs to France. The French island lifestyle also smells of Lily Beach: fresh, freshly watered greens in the gardens, lily-of-the-valley soap in the shaded guest rooms of St. Barts villas, bouquets of white flowers arranged on the terrace of the famous Aux Amis restaurant. The smell of a sweet life, by the way, is quite modest by the standards of modern niche perfumery.
