Artist Ksenia Dranysh about favorite outfits

I sincerely love to dress up from early childhood. I can spend hours dancing in front of the mirror, dressing up and coming up with cool and ridiculous junk combinations. I love all sorts of funny images and costumes. From the end of elementary school, Marlin Manson was my mastermind and model of showing off. Looking at him, I tried outwardly to get as close as possible to my mood and inner spirit. As a child, when I wanted something special, I asked my mother to sew, tie or help me redo something of what I found in the chests at the cottage. Later, when I was in college, zafanatela from the music and style of the 80s - hence my love for black jackets and a little bit for the punk movement.
I shop much less often than I would like: I only care about really interesting things, those with which I feel some connection at first sight. I like to look, in a good way, funny and attractive. I love dresses and overalls very much, because with them the question disappears what to wear. As for me, dresses are much more comfortable than in trousers. Brands do not really bother me, as long as I like the thing. Mostly in my wardrobe clothes that I bought at flea markets, in vintage stores, from several Russian designers and Asian brands, as well as what I sewed myself.
I don’t buy clothes online at all because I don’t trust photos. Having worked as a model for several years, I know how clothes are stabbed, straightened, tucked in order to make it look beautiful on the frame. Plus, it’s still important to me what clothing is to the touch.
Inshade hat, military jacket lining, H & M T-shirt, second-hand jeans, Vagabond booties
The Inshade leather hat helmet is one of the indispensable things for me in cool weather. It does not let the wind pass and is combined with almost everything I wear. I bought the lining in the second-hand "Nothing Like" - I immediately liked it. People who see it are divided into two groups. The first are those who are terrified of this thing and believe that it is simply unacceptable to wear this. And others think that this is some kind of super-stylish designer jacket. Monochrome T-shirts most often I buy in the men's department of H & M: they are very comfortable and wide, besides from one hundred percent cotton. Worn well and do not deteriorate after washing.
Once these jeans were brought to me by a friend of my householder as a gift: I pulled them off right away, made a hole and carry the burden which year. I first tried on Vagabond shoe boots on the set - they were brought then by the stylist Oksana Markina. They seemed to me very comfortable, and I bought myself on the exact same sole, just a different color. In general, I can not stand shoes with heels - in my opinion, this is one of the most impractical inventions of mankind. But these boots are an exception, because they have a wide and very stable heel.
Dress "Christmas tree" Pepperstein
In my opinion, one of the best dresses from the collection of my beloved Pavel Pepperstein "Debries". Very beautiful print and nice fabric, silk and cotton. These dresses are true works of art, all made in a single copy. Very happy that I got such a treasure. As Pasha says, the fir tree symbolizes the cosmos or the system built around the star (the sun), decorated with planets (mirror balls) and revealed in the glow.
Vintage Dress, Vagabond Ankle Boots
I bought a "German girl's national dress" in a vintage store in Belgium, in theory a white blouse should also be attached to it, but it was not there. Breast size allows me to carry it backwards - this way a beautiful neckline is obtained on the back. Tights in 50 den I always buy in Calzedonia, they are very durable and high quality.
Dress with flea market, boots Vagabond, bag NIM design
Dresses resembling those that schoolgirls wear are my weakness. That is what I bought in St. Petersburg on Udelka a couple of years ago for 200 rubles. The saleswoman was at first against it and said that I was too adult and it would not fit me, but my eyes were clear. I, naturally, got into it and was very pleased. Buttons had to be altered. The bag was given to me by the creators of NIM design. I love it when my hands are free: it’s convenient that you can change the straps on it and wear it on the belt.
Mint design dress, MOMA boots
I saw this Japanese dress on the Fashion Store Air website and was fascinated by its print. The next day I went to the store to measure it and immediately bought it. I liked these men's shoes so much that I bought them, despite the fact that they are half the size of mine. Thank God, the stretcher made them comfortable. They are comfortable and fit well with most of my wardrobe. Most of the time I try to buy shoes that don’t rub at all and don’t crush anywhere. I have two pairs of Dr. Martens: they are so strong that I can't see them anymore. I wear them with long breaks, they almost do not deteriorate over the years and have time to get bored. I also liked Swear very much, but now for some reason it is almost nowhere in Moscow.

I bought the jumpsuit in Bangkok. I really liked the things of this brand - I would have taken myself even more if there were money at that time. Backpack found in Amsterdam a couple of years ago - if you stuff it with things, it looks like a pillow.
BARTENEV Jumpsuit and Cap, Vagabond Booties
Andrey Bartenev made this white jumpsuit for me for Oksana Butman's performance, in which I played the role of navigator a couple of years ago. I wear it more often than some clothes - a very necessary thing, it has been useful many times already. For example, I went to the last Loshadka party in it, as it is very convenient to dance in it. This multi-eyed cap is a super art object. It was given to me by Andrew, after I helped him on the Day of the city to entertain people. After traveling in it to the house on a scooter, and all the oncoming people reacted merrily.
Durdona Dress, Nike Sneakers
Previously, my muse and role models were exclusively men. One day after another conversation on the topic of why I didn’t want to look like a “true lady”, why I didn’t look cute and womanly, I decided to make such a dress. It is called "My kind of lady": on it I painted portraits of famous women who are close to me. In the top-8 entered, for example, Venus authorship Sandro Botticelli.
Durdona is my fashion and art project. A couple of years ago, I decided to experiment with myself, bought ninety meters of faux fur and decided to sew fur coats. I was wondering how long there would be enough fur coats. As a result, for one and a half months I sewed bright artificial fur coats every day and made twenty-four pieces — I was very tired. From that moment, I decided not to do any more limited editions myself and sewed this dress. However, I plan to release something else.
Lana Siberie Vintage Lace Costume, Nike Sneakers
This costume was presented to me for shooting for this brand. This is an interesting brand that makes Russian girl and her mother, living in London. They buy vintage laces, threads, accessories and fabrics, and then sew such beautiful things from them. I bought sneakers in Sneakerhead: I could not choose which ones I like more, and I bought two pairs of different colors at once. Very pleased with them, they are super-easy.

In general, I prefer short dresses, but it is so cool that I wear it with joy. I fell in love with him at first sight, I really like the print and the orange bows on the shoulders.

I begged this beautiful silk scarf from my grandmother: she was presented with it, but she hardly wore it. I like the combination of yellow with pink. I often tie scarves on my head, I have ten different ones. I bought a white blouse because of the cut out heart. Bag is a collaboration of designer Nikita Gruzovik and artist Andrey Flakonkishochka. I like the print very much, it depicts the faces of a porn star who shoves a truck in his mouth. Nikita is very responsible and hardworking - she sews very high-quality things. I have some. I bought a cloak of peas in the St. Petersburg store "8 store": I tried it on and could not part. I like the way it flutters and soars when there is a strong wind outside. Pants bought for 100 rubles at the house of one woman. They are great for me in several sizes and remind me of hakama pants.

Blouse found in Ghent in a lace shop. The granny saleswoman told me that this thing was over a hundred years old and she and her husband found her in the attic of the monastery. I took shorts and sandals in one store in St. Petersburg, because I love shoes with heavy soles. Glasses gave a friend from college, she found them at a flea market.
Vintage jacket
I bought a leather jacket in Ghent in a vintage shop, which I wear year after year. A friend from the university once put a sticker on my back, walked with her for a long time, then decided to tear off and peeled off the color in this place.

Hat from the wardrobe of Petlura
Petlura arrived at the opening of the exhibition in DK, and at the same time gazed at things in the dressing room and saw this hat with cropped fields. It can be worn in two ways: if you wear it in front of the field, you get a cap with a visor, and if you put it back, then the "month under the scythe" is like in fairy tales.
