What will be fashionable in six months: 10 trends from London
SUMMING UP, held in the framework of London Fashion Week. In this material - ten trends that we will adapt to your wardrobe throughout the year. However, no one bothers to start right now.
The lack of color and warmth next spring will not be at least because of the orange and peach tones, which the designers suggested at the last London fashion week. In J. W. Anderson, this is a set of flared skirt and sconce, referring to hippies, House of Holland has a perky striped dress, and Pringle of Scotland is no less relevant next spring in a combination of a skirt to the floor and a sleeveless top from thin translucent wool. “The world is really sick,” said the main character, “Blonde in law,” about choosing orange instead of pink, but we are in favor of getting rid of stereotypes.
One of the most practical things of the next spring is, perhaps, a dress-shirt. It can be worn all day and for any event - from a working meeting and children's matinee to a night party. Moreover, designers at London week preferred natural materials - wool and cotton, which will only contribute to comfort. Simple dresses can be seen in Chalayan and Pringle of Scotland, with details in J. W. Anderson and David Koma.
It would seem that elastic socks do not require a special fashion to fit them into our daily wardrobe. However, designers are constantly looking for a new use for them and legalize what was previously considered a bad form. For example, wear nylon socks and knee socks under sandals and make them "visible". So, Erdem, Fashion East, Mary Katrantzou, Topshop Unique and others suggested wearing “caps” for short skirts, elegant dresses and bright raincoats. And do not forget to choose not just black socks, but a fishnet, with applications and decor.
Until jokes about the adventures of a blue Zara dress — with bare shoulders and a big frill, dwell on him; every second girl in the world sees it — for the next spring, designers presented collections with a ton of various frills. The rule “the more the better” will work with them. Victorian-style dresses with many frills showed Simone Rocha and Erdem, complementing them with pearl and other stones. Less “redundant” dresses came out at David Koma - thanks to simple silhouettes and thick material in the form of leather. A simple image with a translucent outfit showed Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.
Knitted things are not the most obvious pieces of clothing for the warm season, but large knitting can be worn at least in the hot summer. The thing is combinations. Christopher Kane, for example, offers to wear knitted dresses on the naked body, and Joseph and Pringle of Scotland - to combine sweaters and skirts of large knit with things from thin materials such as flax, cotton or sateen. The images are multi-layered and functional.
Green, orange, blue - the more atypical the color of a leather coat, the better. This is an alternative to the classic trench, which does not allow the most extraordinary experiments. For example, wear a white lace collar with a black lacquered coat like that of Christopher Kane, or focus only on this item of clothing. It happened with bright coats by Joseph and Marta Jakubowski.
The strip never really goes out of fashion, then becoming relevant only on vests, then breaking into the podiums in the form of striped total bows. For the next spring, the designers offered a maximum program, placing a strip on almost everything. Striped dresses, skirts and sweaters, as shown by David Koma and Peter Pilotto, are beautiful but understandable things. But red-and-white-striped jeans and an asymmetrical black-and-white long-sleeved Marques' Almeida deserve a palm for the bold combination.
Overseas jackets designers offer to wear all year round - they will be relevant and this fall, and coming winter, and next season, so you will not have to clean them in the closet for a long time. A.W.A.K.E showed an interesting combination of such a jacket with a hat of an unusual shape, besides a straw one. Joseph. They presented a model in combination with a shirt and open sandals. And with Ports 1961 and Toga, you can spy on classic combinations with a dress or skirt - necessarily a midi length.
As the London Week has shown, minimalism is again out of work, and superiority still holds redundancy in detail. As proof of this, the designers offered bijouterie made of real stones, such as diamonds, as decorations for the spring. However, it was presented only in evening images, which are thought out more for noisy parties and informal presentations than for trips to the theater or to the exhibition. You can judge by examples of Ashley Williams, Christopher Kane, Fashion East, Osman and Topshop Unique.
If this autumn the designers offered to wear quilted coats, then next year any warmed piece of clothing will be relevant. While quilted jeans, skirts and bras, judging by the past summer, seem to be very practical. Several quilted outfits were offered by Chalayan and Natasha Zinko.
