Milan Fashion Week: Marni SS 2012 Show
A show on Sunday morning is not an easy task, especially given the fact that some representatives of the fashionable audience were at parties the night before. But Consuelo Castiglioni breathed enough energy into her collection not only to wake the audience, but also to make them fall in love with clothes. The secret is in general simple: Castiglioni played on contrasts, presenting a crowd of innocent young girls in sharp and sophisticated images, relying on geometry and precise dynamic silhouettes.
Among the first bows were dresses with petticoats from organza, and sometimes with strict floral collars, which resembled the sculptural and at the same time dynamic silhouettes of Andre Courrez. The motives of the 60s were then mixed with graphic motifs, retro prints in the form of flowers and leather details with intarsia elements. Naive ornaments in the form of daisies gradually turned into stylized motifs with an intricate design with yellow, brown and black embroideries. And white-and-white dresses, decorated with cascades of red and yellow sequins, again brought some associations with Kurrezh.

The last exits - dresses with knitted zigzags and wicker inserts - evoked pictures of futurists. Dresses, adorned with large appliqués in the form of flowers resembling snowflakes, gave a collection of luxury.
A few days before the start of Milan Fashion Week, Estée Lauder announced that its division Aramis and Designer Fragrances will release a new fragrance for Marni House next year. It said, "Wearing Marni is like wearing a piece of art." This phrase could be the perfect definition of a new collection.
