St. Bessarion: horse masks and sculptural forms

At the final show of the sixth day of RFW, the interested public rushed from the show of Alena Akhmadullina, who was half an hour late. The competition of two main fashion weeks in Russia is not reflected in the visitors of the shows - show St. Bessarion was delayed for almost an hour, and everyone seemed to be in time.

The spring-summer collection of Bessarion, as it turned out, was inspired by horses. And not with equipment, as it often happens, but with the animals themselves. Allusion, of course, is rich: here you are both thoroughbred, mysterious, and elegant - well, the list goes on and on.

Most of the collection consisted of dresses. Focused on the sculptural form, Bessarion always tries to focus attention on her - her diversity and numerous possibilities. Sew a V-shaped dress for him just bored. It is much more interesting and exciting to work with a cloth like clay, so that it takes the form of various geometric shapes. As a result, viewers could observe geometric pastel dresses, complicated with leather inserts, made to emphasize elegant female forms. The length of the skirt is extreme: either feminine maxi or sexy mini. Attention attracted elongated vests with a deep V-neck, intercepted at the waist with a thin leather strap. As a result of the concept, models were wearing leather masks imitating a horse harness, and her hair was combed into an oval cocoon.

The show itself was also not quite ordinary, as always with Bessarion. Each time at the end of his show, the designer tries to build an installation that reflects primarily the very concept of the collection. At this time, at the end of the show, three naked girls with black horse masks, wearing their heads, were waiting for the audience. The installation looked very solemn.
